Comedian / Performer / Writer
Tom Cashman is a stand up comedian and writer with an analytical and comedically devastating style.
Tom has guested on shows like Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee, The Hundred with Andy Lee, Question Everything, Sam Pang Tonight, The Cheap Seats and Celebrity Letters & Numbers. He also worked as a staff writer on Planet America, Tonightly with Tom Ballard and Win the Week.
Tom was selected as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Zone showcase in 2017. His comedy shows have sold out around the world, playing to audiences all over Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Since 2020, Tom hosted the podcast The Good Stuff, later Really Good Stuff, with comedian Sam Taunton. Between 2022-23 Tom featured in weekly radio segments on Triple M and Triple J breakfast.
Since 2022, Tom has been taking his solo standup shows to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he has received rave reviews and played to sold out audiences.
Tom has taken his hugely popular comedy style to social media where he has amassed over 500k followers and his clips have received hundreds of millions of views and made international news after he asked a prospective landlord for a ‘landlord reference’ and his rental approval was immediately withdrawn.
Tom is probably best known for his role as the assistant to the Taskmaster, Tom Gleeson on five seasons of Taskmaster Australia. He will return as “Lesser Tom” for a sixth season in 2027.
